A vegan fast food meal

What can you expect from a burger outlet that serves only vegan burger?

a nicer ambience than your typical fast food outlet...

huge striking wall posters...

and of course, healthy, environmentally consious and great tasting food.

I would rather the vegan franks don't taste so strong and they serve better coffee though.

Coffee or Tea. 26 Jan 11

After passing by House of Robert Timms a number of times, I finally sit down for a cup of coffee.

It was a cold rainy day and I seriously need a cup of good coffee. I ordered my favourite, flat white. It was nicely done, smooth but strong. Warmed me up within a few sips.

Perhaps I always drink my coffee without sugar and hence can't resist a dessert to go with it. Accompanying my coffee today is a piece of orange poppy cheese pullman. Moist, buttery and with lots of poppy seeds, which give it a healthy twist, at least I felt so.

Oh yes, I've visited one of my to vist list today!

Journal for sleepless nights

Nowadays, I usually read when I can't sleep. But I used to write journals too to pass sleepless nights.

This will certainly comes handy. Get this here.

Coffee or Tea.

flat white from Room with a View

Drank quite a bit of coffee / tea over the past few days to keep awake.

I rather be drinking for mere pleasure...

Missed the flat white from Room with a View.

Coffee or Tea. 12 Jan 11

A cup of flat white, my favourite type of coffee. Unfortunately, the ones here are not that great.

The interior design is better though. You can watch the fish swim while seeping coffee which I find an unique idea. Hope no one ever topple the tank though.

Coffee or Tea. 11 Jan 11

Is it the weather or I'm simply greedy? Just had a full lunch and got myself a cappucinno and apple tart. By the time I thought of taking a photo, the tart is almost gone.

Coffee or Tea. 10 Jan 11

The rainy weather whets my appetite. After a full lunch, I had coffee and otah (spicy fish cake) thick toast.

Coffee or Tea.8 Jan 11

I always need something to go with coffee, whether I'm hungry or not. My usual favourite is a piece of chocolate. Today, I've just had a steamed egg with cookies dessert but still feel like having something more. Decided to keep it simple with a cup of black coffee and a piece of low fat corn crisps, which is just as delightful.

A selection of some sofas

The first time I set my eyes on a Chesterfield sofa photo, I thought I have found my dream sofa. Just like laying on a mattress is a must to choose one, I sat on the first Chesterfield sofa I found in a furniture shop. Unfortunately, the seat is too deep for me, or rather, my legs are too short to sit comfortably on the sofa.

Hence the search for a perfect sofa continues.

Some designs I like:
I guess you could see from the above collection that I like buttoned back and cushioned base. My top favourite should be the Poeten chair, simple and modern looking, seriously, it doesn't look like a 1941 design.

Read more about the Poeten sofa here.

In the mean time, I am searching in the local furniture shop to have a try of the Poeten seat.

For some reason, black coffee always goes better with traditional chinese cakes like Ang Ku Kueh. Literary, Ang Ku Kueh means 'red tortise cake', the name comes from its shape which is like a tortise shell and the cake is usually in red. The traditional snack is filled with green bean paste or ground peanut, while the above I have for tea break today is with yam filling.
